ATA Delivers Good Stuff to Veterans

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- The American Trucking Associations and CPS Express, Inc.  teamed with Operation Interdependence®, a national non-profit supporting the military logistical infrastructure, to bring gifts to hospitalized veterans during Valentine’s Day week.

CPS Executives Bill Smerber and Jay Sorg, along with CPS Express driver Joe Gonzales, America's Road Team Captain Mack McAdory and OI staff.

A CPS Express Good stuff. Trucks Bring It wrapped trailer delivered a load including 500 NFL championship footballs Feb. 13 to the Veterans Affairs, Sepulveda and West Los Angeles Campuses in celebration of Valentine’s Day and National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans Week. Operation Interdependence® and Veterans Affairs volunteers greeted the truck, which was accompanied by Mack McAdory, a newly elected America’s Road Team Captain and professional driver for FedEx Ground.  Mack, who has driven nearly 1 million accident free miles, and the volunteers handed out gifts to the hospitalized veterans to thank them for their sacrifice.

“ATA is proud to help deliver these gifts to the dedicated men and women serving our nation,” said ATA President and CEO Bill Graves. “Working with Operation Interdependence and CPS Express to recognize these service men and women is an honor.”

“Operation Interdependence is a remarkable organization dedicated to bringing a bit of joy to our American heroes,” said CPS Express Operations Manager Jay Sorg. “CPS Express Inc. in conjunction with the American Trucking Associations would like to thank them for allowing us to participate in this venture. Nowhere else will the phrase 'Good stuff. Trucks Bring It' be more appropriate.”
